Very much part of the London commuter belt, Woking is a large town within easy reach of the capital with regular and frequent train connections to Waterloo and Charing Cross. Unsurprisingly, it is widely considered to be a Conservative Party safe seat, having always voted with a Tory majority since a seat was first created here in 1950.
Woking is in the heart of Surrey. Its own heart is in Jubilee Square, a public space in the centre of the town created to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. This is a thriving centre of eateries, landscaping and shopping.
