Hampshire is right in the South of England with the county town of Winchester. Southampton and Portsmouth are also within the county. This is a populous county but nonetheless boasts two very distinct National Parks: the New Forest famous for its wild ponies and the South Downs famous for its chalky undulations.
Winchester is a cathedral city renowned for its choristers. It’s an easy city to navigate on foot. Portsmouth is home to Portsmouth Historic Dockyards and here you can find both the Mary Rose and HMS Victory. The Isle of Wight is just across the Solent, within easy reach.
