Gwynedd is a county in north-west Wales and includes most of the Snowdonia National Park. It boundaries with Conwy, Powys, Denbighshire, Ceredigion and Anglesey. Bangor is within Gwynedd and is an important university city.
Gwynedd is perhaps most popular for its incredible and striking landscapes. The Llŷn Peninsula is beautifully tranquil and scenic, extending 30 miles out in to the Irish Sea. It remains unspoilt and is a haven for wildlife.
Snowdonia National Park is contrastingly different. Its peaks, valleys and crags afford outstanding panoramas.
