County Durham is home to the city it takes its name from. It is a wondrous county in the North East of England boasting the cathedral city itself as well as spectacular scenery including part of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The city of Durham has an iconic skyline with the dominating Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral. It’s not surprising that this has been listed as a World Heritage Site. County Durham is also famous for the impressive Beamish Museum as well as the open air event at Kynren.
