A sizeable coastal town huddled on the south coast, Poole is the second largest town in Dorset after Bournemouth. Indeed, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch together form the South East Dorset conurbation and share much of their personality with each other.
Poole, however, is perhaps the tourist capital of the three. With its historic heritage in trade and its docks, largely focusing on the wool trade, it now is more likely to be the starting point of a leisure cruise or cross channel service. It’s rightly proud of its Blue Flag beaches.
