From the English Riviera to the turbulent surf of the north coast, Devon packs a great deal in to a small area. With an economy focused on tourism, it’s playing to its strengths. Dartmoor National Park offers bleak but majestic ‘tors’ and panoramas and Exmoor shouldn’t be forgotten either. The red sands of Torbay are a beach lover’s heaven. Of course, a Devon experience wouldn’t be complete without a cream tea.
Devon is also home to the cities of Exeter and Plymouth, both university cities yet very different. Plymouth’s long naval history is still very much evident today.
