Often clubbed together with Redcar, Cleveland is an area where you can indulge in Victorian steam trains, forest ambles, retro seaside piers and a rich Anglo Saxon heritage as well as gain entrance to the North York Moors National Park.
In many ways Cleveland is an area for reminiscing. Seaside life here is very much the way, and whether you’re a sandy beach lover or prefer to be on blustery cliffs, you’ll find both.
The area is renowned for ‘yarn bombers’ who amusingly transform areas over night with knitted glory. Cleveland is also a place to relax and let your hair down at festivals such as the Stockton-on-Tees International Riverside Festival.
